Currently I have a Coralife 50/50 CPF on a 30 gallon tank, was told that the light sepectrum was not right for my plants. So I am looking to replace the bulb with a different one. What is better a 6700k or a 10000k. Also found one on Big Al' that said it was a Coralife Colormax, 50% colormax color enhancing full spectrum and 50% 6700k full specturm plant bulb, would that work.

The colormax is fine for plants, but in my opinion it's not nice for aesthetics. It's a really pink, slightly psychedelic look that doesn't look enough like natural sunlight for my tastes.

I actually use a blend of 3500k, 6700k and 10000k. They're set to timers in order to simulate sunrise, noon, and sunset. This is because I'm insane.

Generally speaking, the 6700k will be the best bet both for aesthetics and for your plants. 10000k by itself is a little too cool in my opinion.
