After a few years of dealing with govt workers and executives, I have come to have a strong dislike of their GOD COMPLEX.

By this I mean where they think they can act above the law and with general disdane for those beneath them. I really think it is time for them to get the cheque from the bank of reality as these executives just did.

What a serious act of shame for these people charged and arrested, we should lock them in a cage with no care nor proper handling :flamed:

I understand and agree with your anger at this, but why the title?

Is the Toronto Humane Society a gov't organization?
I would suspect it's a non-profit/registered charity (?)

Sounds like Mr Trow is a well meaning but sick man...like the proverbial little old lady with a hundred cats...

He and those charged are the ones responsible for disregarding the advice of the direct care givers of the animals. Since they are THE EXECUTIVES of the T.O. humane society I gave it this title.

It would be very much the same as if I the owner of my business totally disregard my staff and what they have to say simply because I have that power as the owner. Sometimes the one in charge is not the wisest.

I agree...but the govt actually intervened and HELPED in this case...

Some of us govt workers are actually quite decent and have a clue.
I would also agree that sometimes it may seem hard to find one that does :)

thats why I qualified the title with most but not all

You are correct that 'sometimes' the one is charge is not always the wisest. If you were to understand "The Peter Principle", you would understand that often the one is charge is the last person that should be.

Not for sure I agree with what "The Peter Principle" states however in theory it does fit here.
