AMQUEL vs FritzGuard ?

Not familiar with Fritz...but Prime beats the crap out of Amquel...

well they are both water conditioners But Fritz-gard Does Not remover ammonia, nitries or nitrates. If you were looking for a water conditioner then either would be fine. If you are trying to lower your ammonia, nitrate or nitrite levels then use Amquel. Thats why I asked what were you using it for. IMO Prime does work better for lowering the levels better than Amquel , just like Rbishop said.

i was wondering because i just did a water change and i only added fritzguard, should i add amquel just to remove the ammonia and nitrates/nitrites?

only use 1 of them. Are you having problems with ammonia, etc? If you are just use Amquel . If not then stick with Fritz-gard as your water conditioner. But I wouldnt use both together or its like putting twice the ammount of water conditioner in your tank. Hope this answers your questions.

You don't want to really remove those...especially ammonia and nitrites...you want to lock them up to a non-toxic from so your fish do not suffer, but still be available for your bacteria to consume.

Nitrates are removed by nitrate free water changes and/or plants.

Stull that locks it up and doesn't allow your bacteria to consume it hurts your bacteria colony and the balance of your tank.

well after doing my water change (25%) i added the necessary amount of fritzguard, but i did the water change because my water has been cloudy for about a week and a half now due to a mini cycle that my tank was going threw,
and so i want to clear up the water,

my parameters are,
7.6 ph
120 kh
chlorine 0
200 GH
nitrate 30ppm
nitrie is at 1ppm because of the water change i assume,

any hints on how to clear up my water? and if nitries will lower down over time ?
