here is a weekend 600 gallon indoor pond project... i got this idea from Ralph Davis Reptiles, thanks ralph!

here is mine... took me couple hours to get frames done... tomorrow will add the plywood, Styrofoam , liner and water...

Amazing how something so simple can yield such large results in such a short period of time with few resources.

I forgot to add that the cool thing about a pond for the very reasons I mentioned, but most importantly is that the most expensive piece in any large aquarium is the viewing panel which is free with a pond and the "look down" perspective has a more natural ambiance and having it indoors to boot is unreal.

this project is less than $250.. the most expensive item was the pond liner... at $130..

its a Firestone PondGard EPMD... it got some white powder and some glittery stuff on the liner... is it safe for fish?

i call up firestone .. they said its fish safe... its talc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talc
