:sim:i think of getting a coolie loach in my 9g tank with a tiger pleco ,6 serpea 2 black skirt tetra 2 colubian tetras and a golden algae eater i know its over stocked but i have a strong eheim filter if you ever come across anything from ocean free brand never buy it

Kuhlis need to be in groups as do your tetras. When I was given just 1 kuhli he hid ALL the time. Your algae eater is going to be trouble especially in such a small tank. Filtration will not make up for lack of swimming room.

Is there anyway we can convince you to get a bigger home for your little guys? They really do need it. And Khuli's really need to be in groups.

Even with 3 kuhlis in my 46 gal, I rarely saw them. If I ever find them at the LFS again, I will probably grab a few more since I have one that apparently came back from the dead... And he's all alone in there - I've only seen him twice in the past couple of months. First time I thought it was a ghost. 2nd time, I'm pretty sure it was real. But still - they definitely need friends - and most definitely more space than a 9 gal tank... as do the rest of the fish that you have. You'd really do better with a 30+ gallon setup for those guys... Longer rather than tall if you can.

i cant get a bigger tank due to parental resriction and i dindt choose the live stock it was my father i cant stop him since he doesnt listen

... really, your father is unstoppable? That is somewhat hard to believe, there comes a time in a boy's life to be a MAN, return those fish and pick a more suitable stock!

Kuhlis = minimum group of 6. Otherwise you're wasting your time and stressing them out. Six is a minimum, even more is better.

Your tank is too small. If you didn't have some of the other fish, maybe, but the pleco and golden algae eater kills it. You could get by with the kuhlis and tetras if you had to.

Interesting, you started off by saying that you were thinking of getting the kuhlis, but said the stocking was your father's fault....
