I'm planing to rebuild my 80 gallon tank from an Oscar tank to a Amazon Dwarf Cichlid bio type. These are the plants I hope to grow.

Sword, Radican (Echinodorus Cordofolius) (Center back) Very hardy, but needs a rich substrate.

Amazon Sword (Echinodorus bleheri) (Center Center) Low light plant

Petite Nana (Anubias Pygmy Nana) (Foreground) Low light

Heteranthera Stargrass (Heteranthera zosterfolia) (Foreground) Medium-High light

Java Moss (Vesicularia Dubyana) (Rock covering) Medium Light

These are the plants I've found that are in orgin or at least common to the SA, Amazon river

I'll be using fluorite under sand. Will I need to get root-tabs for the swords?

I've found these plants at http://www.aquariumplants.com/

Swords take their nutrients in through their roots. To have them do their best, I would put in root tabs.
