I just never had stored pumpkins before as got a huge pumpkin I wanted to freeze for the winter so I can have a continous pumpkin supply for the plecos

Any suggestions?

Never have had considered pumpkins before til recently.

I just cut pumpkins up, deseed and put them in my freezer. I microwave pieces for my tortoises. I don't see why that wouldn't work for fish..

I'd remove the guts. They tend to make a mess in the tank and don't really add much benefit for all the work you'd have to do to remove them from the tank.

I'd cut into serving size pieces so you only have to thaw that bit out. Also, remove as much air as possible from the freezer bag (sealameals/foodsaver machines are great for this), and I would also wrap with freezer paper if it's going to be several months' worth of pumpkin. Oh, and remember to mark the date on the package with what it is. I've had some very mysterious things turn up in my freezer since starting to keep fish, lol!
