I think ive heard of these before like on freshwater snails, they dig into them or something.. i dk for sure but i wanna just make sure, they're bad from what i hear but i dont know for sure. Its on the side of my clam, it has 2 "mouths" that open and close, it wasnt there last night, heres a pic ( i am probably way off) the one mouth is on the top and the other on the side.

Sorry, gotta agree with Amphiprion, it is a blob.. maybe a baby ricordea mushroom is all I can make out from that picture.. I know it isn't a mushroom though. Go get a better picture. ;)

aghj even though its pretty good for a phone camera, i guess it isnt that good. ill try again tomorrow when theres light..

hopefully its not some malicious clam eating monster

Still, out of abundance of caution, can't you put your hand in the tank and use your finger to pry that thing off the clam gently if it will come off? Better safe than sorry.

i suppose i could but i hope its not gonna kill me for trying haha

alright it took a little scrape with my finger nail but i got it off, i know for **** sure it was not supposed to by on my clam. well good suggestion ace haha. looked like a barnacle or a tunicate(sp) to me
