I noticed that im getting a pretty thick slime build up of some sort on my airstone on my DIY c02 system...what is it exactly and how do i get rid of it?

I had the same trouble, so I just pulled it out. Haven't researched it yet :confused:

If you use an airstone you willl need a bubble counter/scrubber to wash this out of the gas. I think it is yeast, as yeast is airborne according to my kitchen cookbooks section on bread.
It will stop up the airstone and it is hard to clean off completely. I always had problems wiht the airstone breaking, from carbonic acid I suppose.
