I'm going to be in the market for some new "Amazon River" dwarf cichlids. I want to be able to call around my LFS to see what they have. And I have a quick question.
How is Apistos pronounced?

I say it like Ahh-pea-stows, and that's how I've heard most people say it.

had to laugh, some LFS no mater how you say it, they don't know what you are talking about.

apistogrammas I think, I'm trying to keep with Amazon Basin, but it seems already my plants have strayed from there. So I'm going to try to stay with SA Cichlids.

I hope to get 3 of these, depends on what I find. It's an 80 gallon tank 48x18x22 and I've been told to have all four will show tooooooooooo much aggresion. I'm still open to suggestions.
