So I got some betta bulbs and they came with an onion and lilly bulbs, how do I care for em & what do I do with them now?

you read the instructions

I got a box of theses about a month ago just to see if they grow....I got a huge onion plant out of it and the plecos had fun digging up the rest, oh well hope yours do better!

There are no instructions....all it says is if the plant fails to grow in 30 days, send them your receipt and they will send another bulb 'insert address here'. That's literally all it says...
For now, I just tossed them in to my 55g tank until I figure this out.

actually i've seen the packages and it literally just says to toss them in and be done with it.

You can just toss them in but it can take days or weeks to get a sprout. An alternative is to put them in another container where you can watch them more closely. That way if one goes bad and turns moldy you can discard it without worries about it fouling your tank. When you see one sprout you plant it about halfway into the substrate with the sprout pointed up.

I've also read that you can just drop them in. A couple might float and some people believe those are duds but its worth a shot anyways. I've read they do the best being tucked down into the gravel after they have sprouted but I'm not 100%. I'm looking into getting a pack of these myself. I would do like GMH said and start them in a seperate container so you can put them in a sunny area and you'd be able to watch for mold and other nasties. Good luck & please let me know how they turn out!

I never had any luck with them. I got like one bulb to grow and that was it.
