I bought a really young blue ram pair, but I've lost my male! Now my female is lonely, so I'd like a new male for her to socialize with. She is still small, around 1 1/2 inches. I'd like a male of similar size, preferably tank raised. I prefer the natural blue colored ones, but any healthy male is fine.
Your LFSs don't have Blue Rams for sale? They're pretty common... If your LFSs don't carry them, have you ever checked out one of your local fish clubs? The auctions at ALL of my club meetings (3 clubs!) usually have AT LEAST one pair of Blue Rams.
I would suggest doing that as opposed to having one shipped from someone on here. At this time of year, you'll be paying $30-40 for overnight shipping on a fish that really shouldn't be too difficult to find locally. :)

No fish clubs around here. Danville is in the middle of a whole lotta nuthin. All I have is a Petco, a further away Petsmart, and a lfs that specializes in saltwater. He might be able to get rams in, but I wonder if he can buy them by gender? I'll have to ask.

Erb's Aquarium Shop in Montandon, PA (right outside Lewisburg on Rt45) carries cichlids. Call them first for directions or you might drive right by and not even see the store. 523-3612
I don't think they are open on Sunday.
PetWorld 286-7170 carries some cichlids
