I think I read in a post that air bubbles are bad. I have an aquaclear 201 powerhead in a 20h gallon. I have some little air bubbles floating around. Should I not use the powerhead?

A few air bubbles is not a problem. Using an airstone or venturi to generate a lot of bubbles will just give you hassles with salt creep.

Also, tons of small bubbles in the water column will create problems for many corals and all sponges. A few at the surface, or making their way to the surface is not big deal.

tons of small bubbles in the water column will create problems for many corals and all sponges I'm not sure about that anymore. Eric Borneman just wrote an article arguing that "microbubbles" aren't really that much of a problem. He pointed out that the reef crest is awash in small bubbles, and corals seem to do just fine.

Thank you very much for the feed back. I'm a little nervous about starting my first tank. One more question for you. Is one powerhead enough in a 20high?
