Got a new golfish

This new goldfish has been in a heated tank at the lfs.

i dont want to shock the goldfish

also the goldfish is 8 inche body length.

for now it is in with the baby angelfish and cherry barbs and spotted catfish, but i would like to put him in the pond, without shocking it, tried to acclimate it already for 30 min, and soon as i let him out of the bag he swam out then stopped moving and sunk to the bottom of the pond and wasn't breathing, i grabbed him put him back in the bag and now he is acclimated back into the fish tank that is heated , hes moving around and breathing. all the other golfish and koi in the pond move and breath even though it is so cold.

whats going on

i had same problem, but i just left it to it and within half hour it was swimming round with the others. shifting from warm to cold and back again etc isnt going to do it any good. personally id put it in the pond and let it get on with it as it needs cooler water. good luck.
