View Full Version : i have a chameleon cage but she died.

so i spent at least a little over a hundred on my terrarium and its a ten gallon set up that i had a pygmy lea chameleon, its been awhile it still has its old dirt in it but i have some new stuff too, anyways i was wondering if anyone new of any good suggestions that would be ok with that environment?

If I were you I would first find out why your chameleon died before buying another reptile.

well they were wild caught, and i suspected parasites because they had like 5 more up at my feed store and they all died before mine did.

That's why it's always good to find out if an animal is captive bred before you buy it. Many imported animals sold by wholesalers are in bad shape from crowded conditions, dehydration and parasites when they arrive in the states.

ya thats why when plan on gettig this snake im either going to this great place in la or im going to order them from my feed store and this time i said be sure they are captive bread.

before adding anything I'd replace the dirt, and steralize the rest and replace what you can't. Never kept reptiles but that was always the procedure for the small furry animals we kept when I was growing up.
