I am interested in adding some ferts to my 29G community tank but i don't even know where to start.

I want this to be as low tech as possible. What is the most simple way to fertilize and what should i use?

The tank has standard lighting, i want to say 20 watts.

I really don't know much about ferts, so any advice/feed back/help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance :D

i have tried some home made root tabs that another member here on AC sent me, however i was wondering what else i could use.

maybe something like flourish...? in a very very small amount...
like 1/4 of what you should dose half of the times that it calls for dosing

yeah thats what i was unsure of, there are so many different types and i wasn't sure which to choose.

what is it exactly, and where do you purchase it (online or store)? i've never heard of it.

edit: found it online, its fairly inexpensive. Thanks for the heads up Eli

honestly with such low light on your tank I'm not sure fertilizers would do much. most likely just promote algae growth. The most important part of a planted tank is light followed by co2 then fertilizers
