:repost:just put this back hope its right this time . This plant will grow just about any were it can float or be potted .Red parret feather is must hardier that the green .Also have some fair moss still ,just looked today at it .Any ways if anyone wants some of it will make you a good deal or trade for some thing.Also have this in ponds and have it in to tanks just in case in anyone wants to know ,and the green is what you fine in most pet shops and in most tanks but me i like the red .

Hmm, it's interesting that you say that about the green and red kinds.

I got the green kind from Lowe's, tried it in my low light aquarium where it struggled. Gave it to my friend for his pond and it is taking off just like elodea, in fact that's what I would think it was if I didn't know better.

All the pictures I see of the red kind online make it seem wispy like cabomba:
