This could be the future of TVs/entertainment systems, too.

The only issues with touchscreens is how long the screen lasts without getting all scratched and gummed up. That's why I decided against one. Can't deny the coolness factor, though.

dragon naturally speaking handles the voice commands... and of course there's touch screens obviously. i'd hold out for mental telepathy but i like what i can do right now too much.

that's what keeps me from going that route too. with 2 young kids wanting to play on mine that would not be fun.

Congrats on the new pc though.

this makes me wonder if there's linux drivers for touch screens. most pc's come loaded with windows. all it takes is a quick partition or a wubi installer and you could dual boot. use linux until you find something you can't do. that keeps your windows partition healthy muuuuuuuch longer!

anyway... congrats on the new pc! it is always cool to get new tech toys. :headbang2: now, if only my kids would grow up before christmas i could get a touchscreen too. :wall:

wait a minute all! I am raving about this since I saw it at the sony outlet store in woodbury commons, ny. I didn't get it! cuz I already did cyber monday www.slickdeals.net & found sony VGN_FW520F/B paid only $799 via MS store special deal. this blows a lot of other laptops away with what MS offered + free zune16gb + free HP color printer + 1/2 price on office home & student + win7premium +++

sorry if I mis-lead anyone. if I didn't buy b-4 hand I might have jumped at the sony touchme! sales person dropped it another $100 on the spot to $1200 & not a re-furb!!
