well i have a canna who is reaching the end of her lifetime.sigh.
............................:cry::cry:
she just lays on the bottom.
she is almost 3 years old and took a bad spill and fell almost 4 feet from her tank and i think she may have damaged something internally,she hangs half in and half out of her shell.I'm thinking of euthanize her because she is suffering.what would be the best and easiest way????? i have no access to any special oil though.
i raised her from an egg and want to put her out of her misery:shakehead:.please help.
thanx.:help:

The easiest and most humane for snails is to get a cup of their tank water and put them in it. Put the cup in the freezer. As the water gets colder they go to sleep. Once completely frozen, you can discard into the trash.

well she is a lovely little snail cube now. the nieghbors are gonna think im crazy for digging a grave for an ice cube:nilly:.
she had a good life and her very own ten gallon for some of it and even got live plants more often than veggies,well she is in a better place now:o.i had a short time of mourning but now it is time to go on with life.

now i have an empty ten gallon on my hands......did i hear somebody say dwarf puffers?:D

:tombstone:fuji the canna

Sorry for your loss, Ayra, I had to euthanise a sweet Brigs snail not to long ago. I used the same method.

Stocking your empty 10 gallon: I think puffers are sooooo cute.

o,she wasnt a brigg,she was a 4.5 in diameter canaliculata! and thankyou for your concern mel,thanx for eveyone's concern and advice. well i have decided on dps because they are soo cute and i got some good deals on plants at my lfs like an anubia that was a good size for about 2.50$

again thankyou all,fuji the cana now rests out near our outside pond with some spider plants marking her grave.
