So, I used some credit at the LFS (I traded in my school of boesemani rainbows) to purchase bolivians for my 29G 30in tank. I've wanted these for quite awhile. My 29G is now set up as follows:

2 bolivian rams (hopefully 1M, 1F - I need to recheck their vents after they settle in)
5 juvenile dalmation mollies (all around 1/2 inch- they are busy cleaning algae off my crypt balanse)
8 black neon tetras
2 ancistrus claro (full grown at less than 3 inches)

I'm wondering if I can add a group of 6 Y. Sidthimunki, a single steel blue apisto, and a few more black neon tetras to this tank. The site I usually use to check stocking suggests that I can, but I wanted to confirm.

For my 28G 24in tank, I am planning to stock around my 2 nannacara taenia:

2 nannacara taenia
2 otos
2 L-144 ancistrus (juvies, under 2 inches at the moment)
4 amano shrimp

What else should I add (would my male betta be able to stay- odd mix, I know, I can stick him in a 10G or something if I need to)? Perhaps ember tetra or maybe neons? Maybe small cories? Or, the Y. Sidthimunki could go here instead of the 29G, and I could put cories in the 29G.

Thanks!

Yes, to adding the neons. No to adding a second dwarf cichlid species in a 29 gallon tank with limited real estate. I'm not familiar with the other fish you mention (sidthimunki). I would recommend that you consider adding more Bolivians, though. They do well in groups and can easily be the centerpiece of your tank. I have five in a 60 gallon and they are quite amazing fish . . . You could also add some cories to the 29, but I'd get something that stays quite small . . .
