Hey all, I have worked really hard on this tank! Its still far from where it should be but its getting there. This is the link for tonights pics: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/album.php?albumid=1811

This is a huge improvement from a couple months ago here: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/album.php?albumid=1454&pictureid=12353

Please criticize it! I am not done yet and I am still unsure about some aquascaping, so if you have suggestions let me know. After the driftwood in the pics sinks i will replant the stargrass around it. Then I will plant some moss onto its branches. Also, I know that I'm not too sure about the cabomba next to the wisteria behind the moneywort thing. I think i might eliminate one of those. What do you guys think? Any and all critiques are very much wanted and respected! Also, in front of my stargrass (if thats what it is) is a plant that I am unsure what it is. If anyone can tell me what that is I will greatly appreciate it! Thanks
Skyler

Great looking tank!

Looks awesome the way it is! Sorry I can't comment on the ID... I'm not sure which plant you're referring to.

That's a great looking tank. How much lighting do you have over it? I guess with the cabomba I would move it a bit to the left and let it fill in that space by itself.
I suspect the val on the shaded right side will just hold it's own, but maybe I'm wrong. Val can spread like a weed (which it is, really).
Can't id the mystery plant. Is it those two fuzzy plants in the foreground?
Very nice!

Looks great to me. Very nice job.

One request, could you list details about your setup and maintenance? (CO2, fert schedule, fish, plants, water changes, etc) I'm learning myself.

Thanks

Hey all. Thanks a lot for the replies. Frankly, I'm a little embarrassed. I would never have thought that anyone would actually like my tank. I really, really appreciate all that you guys said. thanks a ton! About my setup since some of ya'll wanna know. I have a Marineland 250 on the left side of the tank. I have my co2 going in there. I have a sponge filter over the intake since I am shrimp proofing my tank and its also my water polisher. In the middle I have a Fluval 304. I also shrimp-proofed this by putting a cap over the intake tubing (lost the original guard) and drilled a lot of holes along the line. This way my plants dont stick to the tube, my shrimp dont go in, and the water still gets filtered. I also have a Tidepool 2 sump underneath my tank as well. I did have a fluidized bed filter, but I realized that with all my filtration, my bio filtration should be ok, so I took it out to perform on some discus projects i'm about to start. Overhead on my tank I have 4x 54w t-5's. It is only a four foot fixture since I cant find six feet around here. One day I hope that I can put two 36" lights on it, but for now this is good. I'm using two 10k lamps and two 54k lamps (something close to that, since the manufacturor didn't put a k temp on the bulbs). I have four gouramis. One is a moonlight the other three are golden. I have about 25 cardinal tetras and I will be adding more soon. I have four serpae tetras, more of those soon also. I have a redtailed shark, bristlenose, six german rams (which spawned yay!), a hillstream loach, and a Gold Ocellatus shell dweller thats there until I move him into a 20 gal I'm setting up for him. I also have a rainbow thats in there. I will be swapping fish in and out until I'm satisfied, but for now its ok. I will be adding discus in the future. My plants are: 3 amazon swords, a red rubin sword, moneywort, stargrass, wisteria, hairgrass and val which I just introduced, anubia, red and green cabomba, aponogeton, and the unidentified plant growing in front of the stargrass. I think i am done with the plants for now. I want the hairgrass to carpet on both sides of the stargrass and unidentified plant to form a patterned carpet. I apologize for the bad pictures, I had to use my sisters puny camera. I hope to have more pics soon. Especially of the unidentified plant. Thanks again for the comments, it really does mean a lot! No one gets to see my tank cuz i live so far in the boonies!

Oh yea, forgot to mention. I have just started dosing EI method as of last week. I do a weekly water change of 50%. My co2 is pressurized and i keep it around 30 ppm, of course i hope thats what my drop checker is telling me.
