I have 2 Veiled Angels, but don't have a clue how to sex them. I've read that they are only sexable when they're ready to breed.

So if they're almost adult size now and they still haven't shown any signs of mating or sexual organs, then I most likely have 2 of the same sex?

Its very possible. How old are they? How long have you had them? If you feed them daily and keep the tank water clean by performing your water changes on a timely basis (soft water helps too- if your tap is liquid rock that can sometimes stop them) then they should start spawning (and NOT stop) by the time they are 6-8 months old.

I don't know exactly how old they are, but I've had them for probably 6 months and they were dime sized when I got them.

I don't have any with me, I'll go home tonight and take some and post them tomorrow morning.

Thanks for your assistance all!

i think my male is the one that is larger, with more showy fins. He is much more beautiful than the male, with longer and elegant fins. I believe this is how most fish are sexed (the male having greater colors, bigger fins, etc).

Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Colors, and fins, appearances? Maybe with some other fish but not with angels if memory serves. It can be sexed as i have had pretty accurate results when was breeding them quite a bit long long time ago. With certain morphs it is more difficult thatn others. I found black Veil to be the easiest among them.

When I purchased mine, they were sold as Double Dark Super Veiled Angels. One is much larger than the other. I'll get the pics tonight to see if any of you can sex them. :)
