finally my male betta has made a substansial bubble nest and i have introduced the larger female with him. He doesn't seem to be getting aggressive but i just read the the male and female may court for up to 5 days before releasing eggs and fertalising them:shake: :sad How can i look after them 24/7 it is impossible. Should i introduce both females to the tank??

Only one female, and I'd suggest you put her in a floating breeder box, or some clear container inside the tank so the male can see her but can't get to her. Watch the female too when the male approaches, if he comes to her and she puts her head down, she's ready. If she runs away she's not. Note the male may hit her even with her head down, but if she doesn't go anywhere he should get the hint. You should be just adding and removing the female periodically.

This is really strange, but maybe my experience will help?!? I have had a male betta in a HEAVILY planted tank with swords and cories. I then had to permanently add my female betta to the tank. it is a ten Gal. She has been in there for two months and all fins are intact and she loves it there! She thrives! So does the male.... Maybe some really good covering plant like amazon Swords and that long grass?? I can't remember the name of the grass but it grows like two or three feet..... Every tank has the environment that at least one plant will like. Just play with it & test it....

I hope this helps!
