i dont have it but my aunt might and she lives with us so now im worried bout me and minnie *my dog* and how effective are the shots?

I just heard that they recalled 170,000 doses in Canada and the UK!

my 8 year old cousin fought in the hosptial for three weeks and just passed away on sunday :/ such a horrible disease and to pass that young is not right.

Conski - my deepest sympathies in the loss of your cousin.

livebearer - I think it's too late for you to think about a shot in relation to your aunt possibly having it. It takes a couple of weeks to actually build up your immunity to the virus with the shot. It's not instant immunity.

just if you have any trouble breathing what so ever go to the hospital right away. it wasnt even swine flu that killed my cousin, that was over with in like a week, its the series of other diseases that come right after it!

its spreads up to ten feet which is insane! just be careful! wash your hands alot and be cautious! only like 2% of people react like my cousin did so dont be alarmed ;/

after i read this thread my body got all itchy and sweaty and heart started to race.
well she hasnt been in my room yet thats good but i have the living room as a room so BRB gunna get some masks for my face now!!!

My husband's co worker got it. She was out of work for 3 weeks but pulled through. If you think you have it get to a Doctor right away. There is a test to determine if you have H1N1 and then they can treat. People who are at risk of death are usually very young or very old. If you have an healthy immune system you'll be fine. Granted you'll be very very sick but will pull through. Just beware of the diseases that can follow. My husbands coworker had to deal with multiple ear infections right after she had fought off the H1N1.

To help prevent you from getting it make sure to wash your hands frequently and keep your distant from your aunt. H1N1 cannot be passed on to canines so your dog is fine.

Stay calm there is no reason to panic.
