Hmmm.....I don't believe you can be albino if your eyes are blue. Albinism is the lack of or nonexistence of melanin pigmentation in a person's eyes, hair, and skin. Because of the lack of melanin in albinos or "albinists", you would have to have red eyes due to the lack of pigmentation in the retina (eye) therefore the only visible characteristic of the eyes would be the blood vessels = red eyes.
My question for you is, why do you think you are albino? What physical characteristics made you to believe that you may have albinism?
If you have the bleached hair and the usual characteristics of albinism but blue eyes, you may have leucism, which is basically albinism but with regular colored eyes.
But with all honesty and respect, if you had albinism or leucism, I think your parents would have told you about it by now. So don't worry yourself. You're probably not receiving enough sunlight or have the skintype that does not tan easily. :)
Fair skinned Asian here with European descent.:grinyes: Not albino. I have brown eyes.

If you're albino, you'd better stay away from Africa. Tanzania, in particular...

Holy punctuation batman.
Seeing as how you live in the united states. If you were an albino you'd have most likely seen a doctor due to some sort of complication by now, likely something to do with vision. They would have diagnosed you as Albino. Chances are you're just really pale.

Melanin, sometimes referred to as a chemical (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-chemical.htm), is formed as part of the process of metabolizing an amino acid (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-amino-acids.htm) called tyrosine (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-tyrosine.htm). In the skin, melanin is formed by cells called melanocytes. Certain medical conditions, such as albinism, are associated with the lack of melanin. Albinism is a condition marked by the abesnce of a normal amount of pigment in the body. Animals, humans, and even plants can have albinism.
Albinism exists in a number of variations. Depending on the type of albinism, the skin, hair, and eyes may all be affected. In fact, ocular albinism affects not only the color of the eyes, hair, and skin, but also results in poor vision. Additionally, some types of melanin deficiency are associated with increased mortality rates (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-mortality-rates.htm).
Melanin provides many benefits to human beings. One of the most recognized benefits involves ultraviolet rays (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-uv-rays.htm) of the sun. Melanin provides a natural protection against the harmful effects of these rays. However, it does not provide complete protection from the sun, and individuals with darker skin tones are still at risk from the sun's damaging rays.
so i am not albino but im something else i guess ( cant think of the word )

Just curious, but if you are required to wear glasses and have already been to the doctors for your eyes, why do you not wear the glasses? Do you not value your sight all that much?

Ummm, that should be a reason to wear glasses, no? I'm no optometrist, nor do I know much about eyesight, but if you're prescribed something I would say it's best for you to go by it...just sayin'.

Be happy with the person you are and stop looking for ways to make you "different" in order to stand out from a crowd. Stand out from the crowd by bettering yourself not by searching for other ways. Sorry if this sounds harsh but I truly think that this is what this whole discussion is about, being different.

While albinism is hereditary, it's also recessive, and can be carried by non-albinos. So saying, "We have no albinism in us," doesn't mean you can't be albino (I'm not saying you are!).
And as far as albino human eyes are concerned, albino humans usually have pale blue eyes, and rarely have red eyes. This is because the eye, in the process of making it opaque, covers the red that would be coming from the blood vessels and gives the eyes a pale blue appearance. (I think I explained that correctly.)
But, you probably are not an albino. That's something that doctors would've diagnosed you with long ago.

actually, albino people can have blue eyes, but the blue is very light, almost a light gray.

The lack of pigment in the eyes usually results in an inability to properly compensate for brightly lit areas. In non albino's the iris is pigmented, and that pigment reduces the amount of light entering the eye, much lika a camera's aperature. Albinos can often have light steel blue eyes too.
There is a special show on animal planet that was showing a bunch of unusual albino animals, and they described different types of ablinoism, and what makes someone not an albino. There was a PURE white raccoon on this episode, but it had a black nose, and dark eyes. because of that, they said it was not an albino.
there was an albino deer on the show that had blue eyes, and they explained that it was in fact an albino despite the blue eyes.

You just look pale to me. People with blue (gray is a variant of blue) and green eyes are generally far more light sensitive than people with other coloured eyes. Are you of German, Austrian, or Swiss heritage (or that general part of Europe)? People from those areas are usually pale with blond hair and blue eyes (my family, for instance, all blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin, not albinos).
If you're convinced you're albino, I second what msjinkzd said here:

This makes no sense at all, the doctor informed you that you should wear glasses, so clearly there is a point to wearing them. It's your life, but if I were told I needed to wear glasses then I would wear them (I actually do wear glasses, I would prefer not to, but I value being able to see clearly).

IDK, but I do know that you can't always count on your doctor to tell you something. You would have to ask specifically. I would say if you look like everyone else in your family then it is normal genetics, but if you are much more pale or lhave ighter hair/eyes then there is a chance you are albino.

For albinos, wearing glasses is not just about correcting vision, the glasses keep out the UV rays of the sun, helping to protect the eyes from further injury. A common result of such injury would be the early formation of cataracts.
