This is my first time on AC, and I have a question for you guys:
I have an eight month old Midas/Red Devil Cichlid Hybrid. He is a healthy, gorgeous fish. His color is vibrant, he is very active, and he eats well, but recently he started doing something strange. We noticed that he started floating in the corner on one side of the tank. Most often he does this at night. He will stay in the corner for any where from a few minutes, up to about a half hour. He is very still when he does this, so still that he looks dead. He is usually near the top of the water with his nose pointed upward. When I try to get his attention, he immediately perks up and goes back to his old self. Is there something wrong with him? Is he just sleeping?
