I tried adding a skunk shrimp to my blood shrimps tank, when there was food being presented they started fighting hardcore, like a DBZ fight really fast all around the tank, but once the food went away they were fine again?! i dk hopefully someone can shine some light on it

I had a skunk, banded coral and camel shrimp together fine before.. I just havent done anything with shrimp in this tank besides the two peppermints.. I need the peppermints in there to control the aiptasia I picked up from the store off a coral I couldn't resist buying to find out there was aiptasia on it 2 weeks later.. I am finding little outbreaks on the overflow and noticed two more on the underside of my coral.. I want to have the cleaner skunk because on many sites about tangs they suggested having one due to the fact that tangs are more liable to get sick and pickup ich etc.

I've not had luck keeping skunk cleaners and peppermint shrimp together. For whatever reason, the skunks survive and the peppermints die after about a month or so. This is in our 90g, where we had 2 skunk cleaners and 4 peppermints (on the recommendation that peppermints do better in groups). We had to replace our 2 skunk cleaners once in almost 4 years, but have gone through 3 different groups of peppermints. I've never seem them fight for food, and have seen both actively eat at feeding time, so I'm not sure what's going on or when it's going on, although it's probably happening at night.

The issues I've encountered were mostly predation after molting. Crustaceans are opportunists, after all. If they can find and pounce on a freshly-molted comrade, they will.
