So in my RCS tank today I saw a shrimp exoskeleton, I think. It looked sort of hollow and I could see through it. All my shrimp are babies, when do they start doing that? Am I just overreacting or should I be very worried??

What do the exoskeletons look like?

From what I understand it is very common for shrimp to shed their skin like that. it's called molting. They are more vulnerable durring this time because their new armor has yet to harden, but it's nothing to worry about. All shrimp do this.

When they die they turn pink. Just like regular shrimp you eat Y will know if it is a molt or a dead shrimp/

Yes, hollow is a GOOD sign.
It's just the exoskeleton, mean your shrimp are growing!!!!!!!

I agree with everyone else with the addition of one thing. You can leave the exoskeleton in there and they will eat it to get extra calcium for their new shell.

Indeed - don't take the molts out. They're only helpful to the shrimp and the tank.

So I found three more today, is this normal? I just got them on Wednesday.
