Two of my snails seemed to be breeding a few weeks ago, and ever since the Female has pretty much "locked" herself away in her shell and hasn't come out. She moves around occasionally but only every few days. I haven't once seen her eat like she used to.. No more climbing on the glass or anything..
Is she pregnant? Or sick?
The two other snails I have in the tank seem perfectly healthy.

What kind of snails are they? How many do you have? What other tankmates are there?

I'm not 100% on the exact name but when I bought them the pet shop said they were Mystery Snails, all three of them. The only other tank mate is a baby guppy..

Give it a while and watch for her to head up to the surface. Although I've had God-knows-how-many clutches now and I don't really pay much attention to exact behaviour anymore. Sometimes they chill on the bottom, sometimes they parasnail all over the tank. Observed one sit in the same spot for 3 days once, then all of a sudden off she went. Throw a piece of blanched zuch in there and see if that gets her attention, or a few rinsed, canned green beans. Mine seem to find them like a homing missle.

When your Mystery Snail does indeed give "birth", she will climb to the top of your tank/set-up and lay the eggs above the water line (where they will remain dry untill they hatch). Good luck! :)
