at the local petco - they were a special order someone nevr came in to pick up - i asked if they woul sell me some n they said sure but i was on my way to work - thinking about grabbing some on the way home - they are very small maybe an inch - but aren't nearly as colorful as the blue rams i'm hoping to find somewhere!
they say they had blue rams come in today but because it's about -3 here in boston they whole shipment died in the box -
anyhow it seems the only way i'll ever get blue rams is to order them online which is too expensive - well for now - since it's winter they'll prob die on the way to me - i'll pay for themin the summer but it seems they don't ship well - shoul i pick up some goldies? will they get more colorful as they mature - how bout personality? are they cool? they seems to be my only option for rams at the moment n i'm anxious to try rams - petco says they are always trying to order blue ones but i'm not sure if any will get to them alive during thenwinter time - maybe i shoul jump on these golden rams at petco?
your thoughts ?

I had gold rams and german blue rams together once. They looked really good in the tank together, the gold ones are not as colorful but pretty nonetheless. They are basically the same fish just different colors- i dont think there is any behavioral difference.

Do you have space to add the blue ones if they come in? I would say get a few gold ones and have hopes to add some blue ones to them.

I originally had 3 german blue rams. They did fine for a month and then two paired off and terrized the third. I think you should get 2 or 6 or more.
