Anyone have any info on how aggressive these fish are and how there eating behavoir is like? I am trying to compare these to Oscars and Pike Cichlids as far as agression and eating/stalking behavoir.

i can't give you much info but i have read they are both very predatory! if your thinking of getting either these or cichlids i woul go cichlids for the fact that you'll get way more color and prob more active interesting fish - more options also
wolf fish are pretty aggressive *i think*......
pike cichlids are also up there from what i know.
oscars are big babies tho, from what i have seen.
BGK are very timid actually and can be easily harassed. they are excellent fish tho.
so i'd rate them about like that.

if you dont have a tank 500 gallons i say the black knife fish would get smashed im my view the wolf fish is considered the most aggressive freshwater fish on most sites im read about them
im not saying it wont work but its just a warning.

If the Black Knife you are talking about is in fact a Black Ghost it will not do well with aggressive cichlids. They are very timid and are not very good eaters. I had to hand feed mine. They are very cool and have an electrical current in the tail and are nocturnal. They need a lot of special care and you need to be committed to them in order for them to thrive.
