Thanks to the above 'n' beyond generosity of a recent RAOK contributor, I am now the delighted custodian of several Red Cherry Shrimp. I have never had shrimp before and am just blown away by how fascinating (oh say it Xan: cute!) they are, but am very nervous about supervising their upbringing.

Googling the subject I find it mentioned that they molt just before or as part of the process of breeding. But considering the size these five are now they have a ways to go before I have to explain the birds and bees to them. Can any experienced RCS raisers give me some pointers on how often they molt during the baby-to-adult process? I've had these nearly a week now.

Four of them are (I'm guessing, never having seen an adult in the flesh, or shell as it were) that they are maybe half grown. The fifth--who I didn't even know existed for the first two days, that's how miniscule he is--is about half the size of the others. Does a good impressioin of a wingless mosquito, so about half an inch or 2 cm long. The (relatively) Big Kids are about a third again the size, not that they're that much longer but very much bigger around.

Tips, hints, helps, directions to relevant sites, all appreciated. Would post pix but they are fast movers and both my camera and photographic skills are lacking. Thanks in advance. :)
