My PH should be .8 lower. Could I lower it this much with some drift wood, or do I need to buy some products to bring it down?

What is the ph and hardness of your tap water? .8 is alot to change and i don't think driftwood will chang eit by that much, unless you have soft water.

I have ph 7.8 gh8 kh11 tap water and i have 1 huge pieces(take up much of the tank) in my 58g and nothign has happened to my ph. Even in my other tnaks with driftwood i haven't noticed a ph change.

If you want to change you ph then RO would be the best bet.

Why do you want to change it? What fish do you want?

PH: 7.8
HW: 15 yes, I know, I have very hard water.

My white clouds and rasboras could care less, but I need to bring both down if I'm going to get the gold barbs and gouramis I want.
I'll add the drift wood for estetics anyways, but if it won't effect my water, I'll pick up some chemicals for both.

Thanks.
