As some of you know, I got shrimp as a present a while back and they were shipped with some moss to cling onto. Since then it has grown but I'm not a plant expert so I still don't know what moss it is. Maybe someone here with some more knowledge on moss can help identify this moss.

Here is a picture of the tank and then 2 closer shots of shrimps and moss. Thanks.

LMAO! Those are marimo balls! I would like to know the identification on the moss on the right though. Thanks for the laugh.

Looks like java moss to me but they all grow differently under different conditions.

I wonder if it's a jumbled mess of stringy moss. I have java, flame, christmas, taiwan, weeping and willow. None of them grow with any sort of resemblance to what you have.

The moss pretty much grows in any direction, but most of it arcs towards the light if that is any help. I will try to take a better picture of it tomorrow as the lights are off right now and update the thread with closer and more detailed pictures.
