sorry bro, dont think there is such a fish eh, unless you can get all food, water, fish etc for free. it all adds up, plus the longer you are waiting for them to breed, the more power you use. i can get icecream containers of pellets etc for 6 bucks. if you can find things like this, your in with a chance, but firstly, i dont think you should be in the hobby if your doign it jsut to make money. the hobby is for fish lovers, if your just in it for the money, you probably wont last long.
just my 2 cents

Some of the more desireable African cichlids (like the Frontosa mentioned above) can earn you some money.

It's all in the scale of things..... You won't make much money unless you go large scale with many breeding and fry tanks.

German red peacocks? I jstu sold a bunch of fry that i had. Made 5$ a fish but i sold to fellow aquarist. IF i were to sell at a store i would get many 2$ and this is at 2" fish. Most stores give store credit or half of what the store credits worth in cash.

I dont' hink you are going to make mcuh money selling fish as you have to pay for food and water for a few months(6 in my cases). So the money i made selling fish didn't even cover the cost of raising them.

UNless yo uhave many tanks all for the purpose of breeding and bred fish that are rare and in demand from wild caughts then its relaly not worth it.

Go to you Lfs and ask what fish they are looking for and how much they will pa for babies. No use trying ot breed if you can't sell the babies. I know plenty of people that are stuck with 100s of fry as no one with buy them.

-Here is a link i have found about it.

Tropheus, Enants, or featherfins can get you some decent money.

I hope i dont go to fishkeeping hell for saying this, but wierd/different/colorful hybrid cichlids would be the most likely to bring in a good income. Although I wouldnt suggest trying to sell them around here. :shake:

you see some insanely priced flowerhorns on aquabid. seems theres a bit of money to be made there. seems they were just made a high ranking feng shui fish and like arrowana their value shot through the roof. i personally think they are creepy.

Actually, in US, zebra pleco L46...price goes from $50-$100 a fish. Gold nugget can be cheaper than zebra pleco. I'm sure there are more expensive plecos.
