Empty Tank Syndrome

I have an empty tank and it is killing me. I have a well planted, established 16 gallon bowfront tank. I have been thinking about what to put in it. I need suggestions and would readily accept constructive criticism. Here is my plan for the tank:

2 Powder Blue Dwarf Gouramis
3-7 White Cloud Mountain Minnows
3 bronze corydoras

Any suggestions? Changes? Please tell me. However, I am really not a fan of most Tetras, so preferably not them. Thanks.

hey, there.i would recommend going with the natural form of dwarf gourami, not the powder blue.the powder blues i owned and the ones we carried at the store i worked at were always weak and didnt last long.just a thought.

I agree with the above, and might also add that gouramis have a reputation for being aggressive toward each other in smaller tanks. Just a thought might be to go with 1 DG and up the schools of WCMM and Cories?

Sounds like a beautiful tank! Any pics?

The single G would be your best bet for that small tank..the rest of the stocking sounds good...

Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the tips everyone. I had originally thought about doing just one Gourami, but I thought they would do better in pairs. Do they do alright without others of their own kind?

I also have another question for you. I saw a neat 25 gallon tank and if I set it up the same way I have my 16, what do you think about those fish in that tank? I know I would have to wait longer and I would still need to fill my 16, but it might be worth it.

To answer your question, no I don't have any pictures of it unfortunately. Broken camera. :(

Use it as a QT.
