I bought 1 trapdoor snail last week for my daughter's 10 gal. I received 2, both gave birth, now have TWELVE.:help2: How many are safe to stock at the same time in a 10, and would anyone be interested in some? I can't ship until one of my orders comes in, as I don't have breather bags.:hitting:

What kind of trapdoors are they? Mine only give birth to one single live baby at a time - not 6!!!! And only like twice a year.

They are pretty big snails, as far as stocking I would follow the same guidlines as brigs - 1 per 2.5 gallons of space. So, for a ten gal, 4.

I make sure to leave any diatom or algae growth on the back wall of the tank for them, they eat that pretty voraciously but aren't too super big on snail jello. They will eat dead/dying plant growth and blanched veggies, algae wafers, etc.

I would definitely be interested in some, I am curious to know what it is you have :)

Taken from post: This listing is for single live freshwater Black Japanese Trapdoor Snails averaging around 1 inch to golf ball size. I bought 1, received 2. Both had 5 little ones.
