Does anyone know where I can purchase mangroves in canada? It doesn't matter if it's just the seedlings, but I need to find some.

Try searching for Marine fish stores in Maine or Washington state or any state near the oceans for that matter. I would assume that they would have easiest access to mangrove plants and seeds. Hope this helps!

I've found tonnes of places that sell them, none that sell them in canada. Canadian agriculture is really anal these days and won't allow them into the country, even though there is no legitamate reason for turning them away. Even if there were nematodes that were living on the seedlings they couldn't survive the temperatures here where the seedling will and remain dormant.

I happened to notice Big Al's locally (Kitchener, Ontario) was selling Mangrove shoots...never seen that before. Not sure if they are BC or not, but you may want to check them out.

Could be, I haven't been there since last weekend. I'll have a look, thanks.
