all ohioians say I. I need to know more fish owners in my area so I could talk more about fish stores in the ohio area and tell them about good deals in my side of ohio or just share general info.

Hi Kan, I am from Cleveland. The best lfs in my opinion is RMS, most selection, best prices, and cleanest stores.

Columbus. Byerlys in Grandview(Columbus) is a good store. I've been to RMS in Cleveland once, it is a good store.

Tiffin , OH where there are absolutely no good lfs! The best bet around here is actuall ythe Wal-Mart (they have a2 very knowledgable employees in their fish dept.)

Columbus ohio, Byerlys is OK, I have had excellent luck with Jack's and they are extremely customer oriented. I get Aquarium adventure gift certificates every year for Christmas, but they seem overpriced, and don't carry a lot of the equipment I like. They do have some fabulous tank set-ups if you have abig budget. Jacks has a website that shows their locations, but you can't shop on-line. they have locations in Cinci and Dayton both.

Funny, I don't have that much of a luck with Jack's.

Aquarium Adventure is the best to go to when you need certain plants. Sue, who works there during the weekdays, knows everything you'd want to know about plants. Aquarium Adventure also seems to have a lot of the typical fish in stocks; all sorts of tetras, barbs, and livebearers.

Byerly's isn't bad either. Although, most of the time it's like an adventure in there. You'll never know what they'll carry or have in stock. However, they seem to do a better job on their saltwater fish section versus Aquarium Adventure.

Just for the record, the Jacks on Broad street is far better than the one at mill run, I'm not sure which ones you've tried. One of my favorite things about Jacks is that they exchange/ buy back healthy fish as long as they aren't overstocked on the type of fish you bring them. I have sold back a few oscars over the years at an exceptional profit (store credit not cash) and they give good advice to newbies. I didn't mean to dog Aquarium adventures, their stock is fabulous, it's just the equipment price and selection that leaves much to be desired They carry almost no Marineland products, and that is what I use the most of.

I used to shop at Aquarium Adventure and would still buy plants there if I couldn't wait for mail order. What turned me off from them is when I went in there and the entire row of Tetra tanks had ick and they were still selling them :(
