I finally got around to draining my 18 gallon tank and rebuilding everything from scratch.

Substrate - natural ocean sand from Pismo Beach, CA.

150watt submersible heater, Aquatech 10/15 power filter, regular light with Power- Glo 18" 15 watt bulb.

Will be adding in some fish in the 2 weeks, here's the stocking list

6 Neon Tetras
3 Otto Algae Eaters
1 German Blue Ram (male)

I'll be upgrading the lighting for live plants, thinking Coralife 24" F/W T5 double bulb setup. Root tabs under the plants, and DIY 2 liter bottle co2

Plants will be
Jungle Val for the back
1 Amazon Sword
Brazilian Micro Grass
Taiwan Moss

Nice. Though I would get that heater more horizontal and low.
