With the help of all of you, I've been attacking this cloudy water issue quite agressively, yet testing my patience. Thank You.
Today I woke up to the surprise of very clear water in my otherwise very cloudy 36 gallon tank.
The ONLY thing I DIDN'T do was feed my Pleco the usual Spirulina Discs. I haven't put a disc in this tank for 3 days!
Could those discs have been the culprit?
nope! :D
i would feel your tank is finally achieving a sense of balance, grasshopper........ ;)

My joy and jubilation, was agian greeted by frustration.
After going out for the day, then returning home 10 hrs later, my tank is again very hazy.
Little Grasshopper very lost and confused.
ugh!
deep breath.....
do a water test if you want something to do, if everything looks normal don't mess with anything tho.
assuming.... the fish look ok, right?..... if nothings acting funny or gasping at the surface. same thing, do nothing.
everything in the tank is from the store, right?
no corals or anything in there?
no ones adding anything to the tank, right. someone else isn't helping you feed?
it might be a good idea to test your tap water ph too, for the heck of it, and post the results.
i'm still assuming the best thing you can do is monitor it closely, and leave it alone. usually once it clears it's clear, but for another microflora/fauna to have a population explosion isn't entirely unheard of either. the bacteria in the tank might be the important part, but there's a whole host of things going on you can't see without a really good microscope. it's frustrating, but you must be getting close........
hang in there. :)
stick with it, i can appreciate the cloudy water issue, it drove me crazy, it finally settled down after about 6-7 weeks.
