What I mean is, shrimp in general look pretty fragile. I'm afraid that if I purchase them from the store, how do I know they are doing it correctly (taking them out of the tank)? If they are doing it in a wrong way, what do I tell them to do instead?

If you have a good LFS they should know how to do it.

really not too hard. just get them to jump then net them out turn the net inside out into the container. as long as they dont pin them against the glass it should be ok.

they are not more difficult to net than fish really, they are sturdier than they appear. As long as they don't squish them completely they should be ok.

They should also put a little plant matter in with it. Something for them to cling on during transportation.

LOL I just had a mental visual of a captain shrimp in the plastic transportation bag with 6 others, screaming "EVERYONE HOLD ON!!! ITS THE BIG ONE!!!, I'LL SEE YOU IN HELL!!!" and after they arrive safelty he is too embarassed to say anything. LMAO
