What can anyone tell me about Riccia?

My LFS got some in and I was thinking it would be good in my Shrimp/Snail tank for the baby shrimp to hide in.

The tank is:

20g high
heated - around 75 degrees
Modded lighting
No CO2 - maybe someday but probably not soon.

Riccia is a great plant for baby shrimp to hide in. It's very versatile and you shouldn't have any problems with it, it can grow in many setups without much maintenance.

I was thinking about weighing a chunk at the bottom and letting a chunk float. I currently have some oak leaf water sprite floating but it's growing way too fast and I'm pretty unhappy with it.

I like the look of the riccia, I think it'll go well with my anacharis.

Weighting a chunk down would look very nice, you could anchor it to a rock or something. I have some riccia with some anacharis too and it works great!

Well I think I know where I'm going when my hunny wakes up and the kids take a nap... lol
