i currently have 5 glolight tetras and one julli cory in a 20 gal. I use flake food for the tetras and sinking pellets for the cory. The problem is the tetras (one in particular) keep eating the pellets meant for the cory. The cory doesn't seem to do anything about it. It's as if the cory can't see the pellet at all sometimes and the tetras have an extra meal. Do any of you have this problem and, if so, what do you do to make sure your bottom feeders get enough food.

here's a couple of things you can try -
first feed at lights off time this gives your cory a better shot to get to the food
my next thought is actually a question - what type of pellet are you using? most pellets are somewhat big and tough to chew up -especially for little tetras so most likely he will be chewing it up and spitting out chunks which will actually make feeding easier for your cory because he;ll have smaller pieces to chew up
also i can't belive your glo lites are eating all the pellets? they're so small the pellets are prob bigger than them lol - your cory must be getting some - also how long have you had the cory if he's new he may be adjusting - are there other cories in the the tank? if not get him at least one or two more as they are a social fish and feel most comfortable in a small group of at least 3 - cories normally will spend most of their time grazing for food - but at least you are supplementing his diet with sinking food - don't worry when he's hungry he will kick the tetras out of his way and eat -
if you are using a big pellet try switching to a very fine almost powder like pellet food for small fish and scatter this in the water then somes gotta get to the bottom for your catfish!

I agree with lmouthbass. Get at least three more Julii cories and feed after lights out!!! he will befine!
