Does anyone have a link to where I can find out exactly how a canister filter works? I see pics of them but I'm not sure how or where you run the tubing etc.

it depends on the tank and what you are trying to do where the tubes go. most people put the in put on one end and the out put on the other end. some people run reg out put others run spray bars.
I think seeing how different the tubing looked in so many pics with canister filters is what was confusing me. Eventually we want to get a larger tank to replace the 30 gallon and I thought a canister filter would be the way to go, but wanted to get a little background on them first. The video was very helpful.
