How quiet is AquaClear?

I plan to set up a 20g cory tank and need to decide on the filter. I absolutely love my 3 Eheim canister filters. But, even the smallest Eheim would be an overkill for a 20g tank (only 6-8 corys will live in it).

Since I'm so accustomed to the quietness of my Eheims, I'm a little bit worried about the noise of an Aquaclear or any other power filters (I have a Tetra Whisper for my QT and it should be renamed Tetra Shout!).

So, how quiet (or loud) is an Aquaclear? I'm considering an Aquaclear 30.

I have 2 AC 20s on my 29 gallon and you'd never know they were there.

I have 2 AC 70s on my 75 gallon and the only reason I hear them is the splash of the water.

Guess since the 20s don't move as much water the splash isn't loud either.

I have one as a add on to both my tanks and they are great. They are extreamly quiet and do a great job and have adjustable flow

Great! Now I've got to decide whether to buy an AC 30 or an AC 50 for a 20g tank.

I'd buy 2 AC 20s. Its always better to have 2 filters.

mine work great i love them. i agree on e ac 20 but one ac 50 has enuff flow and will do your tank fine, i have an ac 20 on my 5 gallon, and i just added a diy canister filter
