Substrate for Mobas - Kindly guide me

Hi Friends,

A lot of people here are saying that a dark substrate ( like my fav color Black ) will make the moba look completely black as they are deep blue in color. They want me to go for white or golden sand but I still want to go with my most fav color - black sand.

I always feel that a dark sand helps color up the fish a little - but I'm not too sure with Mobas as I've never ever seen them.

Just wanted to request you Friends to kindly guide me if I'll be ok with Black or should I plan for something lighter ?

You can always do a mix of black and white go for that Tahitian moon look sand, Either or, i have had the black sand and i have had the white sand and i do keep some of the black and white sand, it will be your call, the white sand will lighten up the tank and the fish, the black sand will dull down the fish and the black and white may equal things out a bit but its your call and what you like..
