Hey guys,
I've had 29 gallon tank for about two years with 2 silver hatchetfish (I had more but I'm not replacing any deaths because I've gotten tired of them), a kuhli loach, a small unidentified loach (about the same size as the kuhli), a small pleco (L104), a single emerald corydoras catfish, and a gorgeous large male marbled angelfish. I'm planning on restocking my tank, and I want to try a few different fish. I have a 10 gallon I might move the remaining hatchetfish into; I'm planning on buying at least 3-5 more varied cory cats.
I wanted to get 5 or 6 glass catfish, but I hear that they can get pretty large and I'm afraid they would outgrow my tank, so I think I'll ditch that idea.
How would a pair of pearl or moonlight gouramis go with the angelfish? He's been the only angelfish in there for at least five or six months, so would he be too aggressive towards them? Or would they be aggressive towards him? He's relatively skittish/shy.
I also am interested in rams, but they might clash with the gouramis?
What would you guys suggest for interesting and vibrant tankmates? Thanks! =)

Glass catfish only get to be 4", so no worries there. There are some species that get twice that size, but they aren't readily available in the hobby.

Pearl or moonlights would work with the angelfish with no problem.

Rams like higher temps and would be better off in a different tank.

Your emerald cory needs some pals. They do better with at least 5-7 if not more. The same with loaches. The more the merrier.

you could use Bolivian(Altispinosa) rams.
