IceCap LED Query

Picked up two of those new IceCap 48 inch LED units thinking that they would be replacements for the actinic look. They are great after the normal lights go out (moon lights), but my question is what do they do when the normal lights are on. Is there any benefit of running these lights when the normal daylight lights are on? I’m not noticing any “actinic” look until after the other lights go out. FYI, my “normal” lights are T5’s. Should I even bother running these new LED’s when the T5’s are on?

Many run them as secondary actinics, assuming you have enough of them. If you don't see any real effects when the main lights are on, then there's no real need to leave them on. Others use the white lights for added shimmer effect like what you'd see with halides.
