I get most of mine from here or have the LFS order them for me. The list they have that will usually be much larger than what they carry. I know I work in an LFS over in Belfair and we carry very little in stock but I can order in quite a few.

A Place For Pets in Burien has a couple plant tanks that are usually stocked pretty darn good. definently worth checking out; I would call them a 'gem'. They also have great FW stock in general. Everywhere else is pretyt hit and miss.

Would you trust ordering them online or the AC Marketplace? ive ordered plants from the marketplace and i havent gotten anything that was dead or total crap so you may want to check that out. heck, there might even be a local ad on there too.

Kianna,
Wildside on Canyon also has plants. It's hit and miss, but I've gotten several nice plants from there. You jsut have to catch it when they get a good shipment. A Place for Pets by far has the best stock I've ever seen though. not spindly and sparse, lots of choices, stuff you don't find everywhere else. They also regularly have things like peacock gudgeons and micro rasboras, all different fresh water shrimp, interesting stuff like that. worth the drive!
If you can wait a month, the GSAS is having their annual huge plant auction next month, be a great place to pick up some plants.
A Place for Pets in burien usually has a good amount, some you could even call rare, talk to Karen when you're there, she's the plant lady.
I work at Midway, we occasionally get good plants in, but alot of times they end up not being aquatic... we're trying to get the tanks back into a better condition to keep live plants and hopefully our ordering will change soon enough...

a place for pets sounds like a cool place next time im down there i will have to check it out, it is a ways out of my way though to go down there. i have no problem ordering from people here or from a site. i was just trying to see where all the other locals go. thanks for everyones comments. As for the gsas, whats that group like? i have been looking at there web site and it seems like a cool group. any members have comments on there feel of that organization?

If you're down in Olympia, Wildworld Aquarium & Reptiles tends to have a decent selection of actual aquatic plants. I'd call ahead though since they only order about once a month and by mid-month their stock can be incredibly low. They're at http://maps.google.com/places/us/olympia/cooper-point-rd-sw/400/-wildworld-aquarium-&-reptials?gl=us
I haven't ever had any problem with disease from their fish either, which is saying something.

Dan,
there was another thread recently in the general forum about WA folks that discussed GSAS. There's a few of us that are members. I joined a few months ago, but haven't made it to a meeting yet because they're about 45-60 mins away from me at 7:30 on a tuesday night. BUT, the newsletters are fun, cheesy and homey. Everytime I recieve one I kick myself when I read about the mini-auctions they had at the last meeting! it's worth the $15 just to get the newsletter, I think. and I'm totally excited to go to my first actions this spring!!
I like gsas, I've been to two meetings so far and what with the information you pick up there and the discounts you get at various fish stores... the 15 dollar (10 for me, as I'm under 18 :P) membership fee is easily paid for in a couple visits to a sponsor LFS
And if you don't get plants at the next auction (annual plant auction)... probably 2/3 of every mini auction is plants (auction at the end of every meeting).
